Submitting the application for the verification of foreign qualifications

If you have achieved a foreign qualification or degree that has not been declared as equivalent by an Italian academic authority, you must ask for its verification for the limited purpose of enrolling in the specialization course or postgraduate program of your interest.

To ask for the verification of your qualification:

• Fill out the form you find on the page https://modulistica.unife.it/public/ums/verifica-titolo-estero/
• Upload the form with your original signature in the online enrollment procedure (in the “Attachment” section) together with:

• Foreign degree or qualification obtained abroad with its translation into Italian and legalization,
• One of the following documents: Diploma Supplement; a Statement of on-site value provided by the competent Italian diplomatic representation abroad; a Statement of comparability provided by CIMEA. The University of Ferrara has signed an agreement with CIMEA that allows you to ask for the certificate for a total cost of 150,00 euros (tax included) with the issue within 15 working days from the date of submission of the required documentation. • Bring or send by mail the ORIGINAL documents to the Unife Master School Office. You can bring the documents taking an appointment with the operators through the SOSservice by selecting “post-laurea” (the “post-graduate” section), or send them by mail to the following address:

The original documents will be given or sent you back by mail.

When to ask for the verification

If the postgraduate program/course involves an admission test, the application for the verification of foreign qualifications must be submitted when enrolling in the test.

If access to the postgraduate program/course is subject-to-availability or open, the application for the verification of foreign qualifications must be submitted during the enrolment process.

Applicants are admitted to the course with reservation until the completion of the verification process and may be excluded from the course at any moment if they do not have the required prerequisites.
